The Western Australian Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Trial offers your students the opportunity to consider some of the bigger global issues that their generation will have to address.
Energy use, global warming, cutting edge technologies with new employment opportunities are all covered in this education package.
You are provided with background information and colourful, stimulating
worksheets for your students that enable them to
take part in group work, experimentation, creative exercises, language
development, and interdisciplinary work and make efficient use of
information and communication technologies.
Once their appetites have been whetted they can take part in a
set in a fictional country.
There are activities written for Fuel Cell Displays which are located at the Gravity Discovery Centre (GDC). An excursion to the centre would be invaluable for your students who will have the opportunity to use exhibits that will help them better understand fuel cells, energy transformation and its efficiency.
However if you cannot get to the GDC there are mobile exhibits which you can borrow to use at your school. Of course these mobile exhibits also come with suggested activities and simple instructions for their use.
